The first tip and the most important tip is to treat everyone with respect and not create bad prejudices about people. No matter who the person is, you have to give them an honest chance in society.
The second tip is to create different associations and groups where you arrange meetings to get to know others and make friends with similar interests. These gatherings should be open to everyone regardless of gender, ethnicity, age, etc. This can be a great way for migrants to learn more about the country from people who have lived there longer.
The third tip is to help the person get a job or start an education so that the person will have a employment on the day where you also make many friends. It is easy to help people start the process of getting a job by using your network of contacts so they can tell employers and workplaces that the person is a good candidate for employment in the workplace.
The fourth tip is to share your time. For many migrants, it is important to learn the Swedish language in order for them to feel part of the community in society and therefore you can help teach Swedish. You can take time after work to have language lessons or just have special meetings where you talk a lot so people learn the language faster and in that way become more integrated in society.
The fifth and final tip is to contribute money. In order for meetings to be held, premises are needed to be in and in order for language lessons to be held, premises and materials are needed. This can not happen if you do not have money and therefore you can contribute with it. If many people are involved and contribute, no large sums are needed from each person, but help is needed for all these tips to be useful.
