Sweden is often referred to as a respectful and quite liberalized soceiety when it comes down to migration, and I think Sweden in general is a respectful and accepting country. Butproblems with our migration still occur and it’s not an easy task to solve the harsch situations in a way that will benefit both individuals and society.
When refugees arrive in sweden and things start to get settle, they get placed in sociallyvulnerable areas. Becasue there is a lot of people from the same country or similar cultures, segregation develops between the swedish population and the other cultures in these areas. People from the socially vulnerable areas have a harder time understandning and gettingaccepted into society. It’s hard to get work, education and a stable economy becasue of the segregation that develops in society. It’s even widespread in schools where both boys and girls hang out with friends with the same or similiar cultures and not the Swedish students. If this pattern continues there’s a risk that most of the refugees won’t get accepted into societywhich will cause major difficulties in the future, such as further exclusion. Further exclusionwill promote criminal activity in the social vulnerable areas and we already see the consequences of that today. It’s extremly important that we get better at including the refugees in our society to make them feel safe and home. This is the only way we will reach a fully developed society, both socially and productively.
My thoughts
It’s definetely not an easy question to answer and the task will not be a walk in the park, but I think we’ll get there one day if everyone is willing to cooperate. To be honest, I’m not an expert in this area. I’ve just said what problems I see and have experienced myself and what I would like to change in the near future. Yes, there’s gonna be a lot of resources used and the people needs to be willing to change our ways, but if we can cooperate I think most of the migration problems will be solved.
